More on Gun Shops Making Theft Easy

Like breaking into someone's garage where nothing of value is kept, thieves broke into Jerry's Gun Shop. His response:

“I feel like someone hit me with a truck,” said Gerald Richmond, who has owned the rural gun shop for decades. “He could use those guns to hold someone up, or shoot someone.”

Richmond says he plans to buy a new high tech surveillance system to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
I don't think that's enough. This is nothing short of negligence. Gun owners, especially gun shop owners, who make theft easy by the short-sighted denial which says it won't happen to me, should have to pay for their crime. The thieves alone are guilty of theft. The gun owners are guilty of negligence and aiding and abetting the theft.

How's that sound? Please leave a comment.
